Sat to Mon

Having stayed in Fri was in the common Sat 12.30 as it was continued scorchio. Then went to the tube; did i check to see if there were engineering works? Did i bollocks, so walked to the overground..which created an opportunity to have a Polish can which you can't on the tube. By chance bumped into Ken and Madeline near Leicester Sq; na sorry Tase bro can't make it to your birthday but see you before you move to Thailand.

So at the Slug and Lettuce, Lisle St i'm told that Blackpool Cardiff 3d was upstairs. Speaking to some affable enough people i find out that the area's been reserved for a Pentecostal event.. so it had to be 2d downstairs. Me, Matt and Scott saw Blackpool win 3-2 to amazingly reach the promised land; they attacked on the day even when 3-2 up and that creates spiritual reward. In orange they looked like Holland. Hope they get double figure points next season..wow they get to play Arsenal, Chelsea, West Brom..

In between matches we chilled just off Pall Mall; the sushi was edifying. Matt's missus joined us for the Champions League final; waiting for your partner..it's alright :-) gentle, loving. Milito helped Inter beat Bayern; they did enough to win. It's cooler that way. Real will be Mour's third house.

Sun to all intents and purpose was going to be a quiet one but Laila said there was going to be a barbie q. Didn't go to No:Id gallery again; could've popped by. Balls; i took New Zealand lamb meatballs to the barbie q. The Angel rooftop garden afforded a great view..on a sweltering Sunday. The Alma on Chapel St has a dispensation to open early. Tried on a blue wig.

Mon had a little bit of mead before sitting out at a hot Elephant and Castle. Went to Shakespeare's Head; the Spoons wine fest had started in earnest and i got a cracker..Pinot Noir Louis Jadot Bourgogne..2007 which awaited Julian. Rich and heavy. It was the Holborn social crawl and saw Alasdair; me and Jul went ahead to the Newton Arms. Didn't feel it there so sat out at Lowlander near Guanabara with Belgian Cristal. Couldn't coax Jul to rejoin the crawl in Portugal St near LSE; good bunch.

The end of Lost was super. Smiles, dreamy, beautiful. Glad to start a new photo album Pixel Lott..get it? Words, pictures..i like. Camomile, Horlicks to go. Think there's a new version of World in Motion; better than Three Lions..again, this time with lothario Russell Brand (well now Mr Katy Perry) and has been Robbie Williams.

'Who will help me carry him?'

Prior to the F.A Cup final there was a piece on Avram Grant revisiting Tel Aviv; the pain, laughter with friends, his colourful tv reality show wife..life is a gamut of emotions..all in the same breath. Is he a jinx; every time when close to winning a trophy he 'stuffs up'.

After the match went to Putney and met Dodge in Citizen Smith..shouldn't that be in Tooting? Power to the people, the tank going past the old Mitre. Good Samuel Adams range incl their stout. Julian, Hazey Fantazey and Justin joined us; went to the Coat and Badge, Jolly Gardener and late closing Spotted Horse. The ubiquitous kebab/ burger followed ; the vendor winced at the drunken gibberish coming out of some punter. Stayed at Jul's; me and Haze were the last ones up till 3.30am with a colander on the head and Latvian whisky on the go.

By midday on the Sunday we were in the Ship near Wandsworth Bridge for early lunch. On the way saw a car from 1937; i'm sure the Batmobile was based on this. Anyhows the mushroom in the double burger was lufferly. It was a post monged out session with Sunday papers. Next was the Alma; our Jenga defied gravity. It was a champagne Sunday while it rained; England got their first cricket trophy by resoundingly beating Aus. Teri joined us briefly. Out in Wandsworth Town till 9.30 then i went to the hotel; it was slightly weird on my own having been with the others since Sat night. Dodge said to enjoy it with some cans so there i was with 4 Music, 4 cans beer, 1 can Lucozade and coffee. He had earlier said to a Dutch barmaid 'Do you live in a windmill?'. I like windmills. People had been arguing in reception earlier; Travelodge or Chavlodge? The tunes i digged from the night were Ellie Goulding's 'Starry Eyed', Example- Kickstarts, Edward Maya- Stereo Love and Owl City- Fireflies. They say you're getting old if you only like the old songs; well i love the new, contemporary songs too. Made it to about 3.15am.

Well i didn't die in the hotel like say Michael Hutchence. Sometimes i feel i'll breakdown. Die by the sword. I'll take each day as it comes. I was awoken at 8.40am Mon morning and went into Lloyds on call. After 7pm and a day of caffeine and no solids i had an hours walk.

Tues went to the Marriott in Bexleyheath. Met up with Paul Morris; Gay Pat and Rudolph playing silly buggers..could've got three strands together. The manager's special was Becks at £2.99. Didn't stay over this time; i like hotels though. On Facebook Richie had a photo holding up bowling balls; 'big Michael Schumachers' i said. Enjoyed the Heaven 17 documentary.

Thurs worked at Clicks, Farringdon. The song that got me through the shift was B.o.B's 'Nothing on You' with its harmonies i like singing..
'beautiful girls all over the world
i could be chasing but my time would be wasted
cos they got nothing on you
nothing on you'.
Angels, carry me away. Finished work at 6.30pm having again not eaten. Walked to Camden. I wasn't the best at work but i kept at it which the top brass liked. Love Helen for the rest of my days. OMD's Souvenir makes me cry every time 'my feelings still remain'. The lyrics to Michael Bolton's 'How am i supposed to live without you' resonate. Went up Goods Way, Kings Cross. Chilled downtime at Inspiralled; i remember coming here before going to the party of last year in Cable St Limehouse.
Ppl drinking outside Roundhouse ahead of the Chemical Brothers in a louche, credit crunched way..i drank from Belgo and Mama Cass from Bartok. Was hoping Cyclone Laila would turn up; massive fail.

Enjoyed the sun today (Fri), roll on tomorrow..well used the roll on today also. Do the barbies; first of many. Tomorrow is the day of two finals and more sun; it's even going to be 24c in Aberdeen. An Inter Cardiff double i'm predicting. A Fri night indoors; liked it..how about Tim Simenon and Mick Jones with Gorillaz doing two songs on Wossy? The wrestling was insane; everyone got him..Russ Noble, Gary Lineker and..as soon as Clint Eastwood finished Damon Albarn ran and jumped onto him! I feel like greco wrestling now. A club night in Stokie Newington Sat promises the fuckest uppest music; well when you put it like that..

busy fxxker

Yesterday went for a run 6.30am, got the papers on the way back. Out again just after 2.30, walked from Westminster Bridge to De Hems for a half. Saw the first 10 overs of Aus v Pak at the Marquis of Glanby; the match was already looking good and we know what happened later. Maybe Pak should've got 200. The Aus psyche of self belief, not giving in is admirable.
Went over to the nearby Curzon Shaftesbury Avenue for the Bill Hicks film q&a. A punter was looking for a ticket the performance having sold out. I spoke to the guest lister and managed to get her one. Usher got us five seats together at the back.
Fascinating 'biopic'; before one of his first shows he asked the other comics 'what's a good drink to have?' they said maragarita so Hicks gets himself 7 of them before unleashing his act. It was Channel 4 that made him big here.
Plenty of possibilities on a Fri night; Scott wanted to meet up, Andrea and co were going for sushi, there were mates at the Montague Pyke Spoons..i met up with Howard. At Tottenham Court Road bumped into Steve who i hadn't seen in years; he had been nicknamed Commander Bond for his suaveness.
Howard's local the Crown in Angel is nae bad; had a nice chat with some of the regulars, i'll be back, still like meeting new people. Went to How's flat then i got to Life in Barbican 12.30am for a free late night rave; was Horton's birthday. Him, Conrad and myself are of similar age, know our tunes and how to dance. I had sho chu, bought Horton hot sake and stayed till 4am. In bed 5.15am for a few hours.

Eyes Wide Open review

I was at the q@a with director Haim Tabakman. Ezri, means help, so he was 'sent' to galvanise Aaron's regimented existance. Aaron didn't even know he was being suffocated. Ezri's raw power and power of suggestion made Aaron 'alive' again when he was feeling 'dead' inside. Aaron was resisting; 'i have my family' and Ezri said 'i only have you'. One can see it as respecting the doctrines of others while holding back his 'evil side'.

Aaron's wife is understanding and forgiving of her husband's trespass. Ezri's breeze of change against the othordox environment makes for a stunning ending. The ostracisation of the outsider is akin to Witness and the love story of Jew men with hats draws the parallel with Brokeback Mountain.

Bad Lieutenant review

Werner Herzog's edgy vision is encapsulated in Nicolas Cage who rolled back the years..and the wrinkles; his face more taut than Cher and a Tupperware container. The performance though was not strained; there are a plethora of drug scenes..can anyone else give as maniacial reactions as he did?

It's a mass of contradictions. Though he was degenerate he got results 'the lucky pipe'. And though he was corrupt his love for prostitute Eva Mendes was pure; there is hope.
The film's beautifully filmed be it the feel of New Orleans or trippy iguana images.
The characterisation captures the compulsion of drugs, alcoholism and its associated sadness.

Fastlife

Just what i needed; 2 days slowdown, saving energy and reflecting..to not be frazzled..how do i stop that? More magic, realigning. Make the right choice at the right time. In passive mode..had the phone off. There's an Indian advert which extolls technology; that you can do it all and don't have to make the choices..the Fastlife. Life actually goes by quickly and you'll have had your time.

Found my Prince of Persia t-shirt; by the way Gemma Athurton's face looks like it's been through a cylinder.

Disappointed that Bangladesh lost in the 2020's; Mortaza came in too late to wield the long handle. In the snooker Dott held his nerve to win. Hope he stuffs Robertson; arrogant if you ask me.
Shanghai Expo has started; let's smash up the place like in Iron Man 2.
Did you know the maypole is a Pagan phallic symbol; dancing round a dick..the original pole dancing..and children dance round it, that's just wrong.
