So back to Thurs; did 9 and a Bit Hrs on set on the Essex/ Herts border, scuttled down to Victoria for the fiasco that was Eng's lamentable showing v Uruguay. You know, it wasn't even that busy; people knew. Still it was a chance to catch up with Smiffy and Bud. After 11 boarded the overnighter to Aberdeen, which got less busy after Glasgow so moved from the back of the upper deck to a table downstairs. I should've gone to Cosmo for sushi etc instead of chicken, chips and cheese the 3 ch's. Liked the harbour and then went to Aberdeen Art Gallery. I felt you and i knew that you loved me- that's Tracey Emin. There was a David Bailey and Damien Hurst collab Jesus is Condemned to Die. Saw Julian Opie's Sara walking-Sparkly Top and Jeans.
The menace of Peter Howson's Serb and Muslim. Alan Davie's Playing Card Adventure covers Indian, Aboriginal and Venezuelan art. Eric Auld- Harbour City is a local depiction. Peploe- Iona, Grey Day and Sovenir. Hepworth- Meditation. Wood did Cornish Fishermen St Ives. There were wistful works and thoroughly loved the display.
Checked into Hilton Garden Inn and had a workout at the gym; overdone it with the triceps. Coffee and tea in the room.
Sat morning we did a jolly decent walk from City Centre to the exhibition centre. Idlewild were the highlight musically.
Mon evening hung out East Dulwich, Peckham way. Working in Cambridgeshire tomorrow so up early doors. Cheese festival Sun yum.
