Six months of summer

Off to Birmingham on a cheapo tomorrow after my summer boot camp swimming; we had seemingly six months of winter so let life be filled with light. Had a nice walk early morning.
Plenty of pleasant distractions; Villa v Sunderland, IPL T20, snooker, dvds, decompressing, meditation ie taking stock.

In vogue

It was my dad's birthday so we went to a Keralan; Mor is an unbelievable chilli buttermilk drink. And the king fish curry was to die for; probably goes well with Kingfisher beer. Bengali food can be a bit stodgy but this was light and delicate. Trying to cut down on meat, carbs like bread, caffeine; veg, Ryvita is fine. At Costco they do huge teddy bears; they can go back in the car as a passenger. Wanted to go to a Vogue fashion party but couldn't make it. Meant to go to Salisbury this Sat; shall i go?
I was in Sutton Wed night and by chance there was a Meet the Brewers; Kissingate from Horsham of Chennai fame..it's their take on Thornbridge's Jaipur. Kissingate sounds like a Henry Kissinger scandal. The brewer was endearingly honest. The liason officer Roy's lovely. Anyway went to a friend's birthday; met a nice new person. Tues was in Barnet..hit the buffers, end of the Northern Line, edge of Herts.

Unlikely win

The 3.40 at Aintree was won by an 100-1 outsider appropriately called Tartan Snow; came from four lengths behind to get the win..i like that.
