Anthony Hopkins twice in a day; saw the end of the Remains of the Day and then Hitchcock. The former is a painful watch as the 'indentured' Hopkins is not in touch with his feelings and Emma Thompson goes off on the bus crying. And in Hitchcock he starts off as chauvinistic but becomes more loving and humble. This was at a Tooting film club. In the old days you'd go to the Mitre through the front door and exit 'through the window'; in the new days they show films about reincarnation. It's not a Dystopian vision but a Tootopian one; dropped in at the Gorringe after the free popcorn had gone and it's good there also..gentrification has its merits. I was after rock salt and got it on the 4th shop.
The Litttle Bar (on the prairie) opp the Long Room is a bijou place.
