Today 8th: Was going to spend the whole day in bed but would've been a waste. Did chores, had a veg Sun lunch..is that allowed? Traditionally you had meat once a week but felt good and not bloated. And you don't always have fish on a Friday. Artists have to push back the boundaries to keep the form alive and not dying on its arse. It's a hopeful breeze we have now.
Been getting back into dance music through DAB; Eric Prydz, like the stuff i used to know..the no1 dj in the world, for a new consciousness..the creative collaborations ie Crvrches, not commercial shit. And Chris Lake; when you're not going through personal warfare there's a lot to pick up on again..otherwise you'll lose it forever. But not talking hoarding; keep it brevity and relavent.
There's a new place just near Angel tube and they do a whole chicken for £24. Or you could do your own. On tube back my head falling forward in the sleep apnea way. Was invited for a biryani in East London tonight but a bit far. Buenos Aires steakhouse in Wimbledon i'm there.
Sat 7th: Arse not moving between the gears so got to a weekend photo shoot later than intended. Took an hr and 25 mins longer than it should've; thanks it's only my valuable weekend. But one thing leads to another; everything happens for a reason and there'll be a blockbuster. Luke extolled the virtues of Cape Town; thanks i quite like Croydon but i'll have to make it there..to eat like a king. Next door to shoot was a Belushis and we got caught up with Spuds fans ahead of their game at QPR. Luke went Nandos, we went Spaghetti House with a prosecco coupon; we didn't get a mini bottle but a full size one..sat under the escalator in Westfield. House special was spag and lobster; with little clams..you can see why this was a great afternoon, on the back of film potential.
Did Shep Bush-Clapham High St. The Craft scene is a touch overpriced. Be at One; loud and impersonal and we're talking 6 in the evening and it's Smithfield-meat market. Thankfully i refrained from the garishness that is Infernos on other side of street; 9.45 when reacquainted friend Lara left, was the right time to go to birthday 2..overtime is my friend. Overpriced cabs.
Fri 6th The long bus ride from work to Bromley; an hr but it's ok. The Railway is almost mystical. At the Labour Club Bournemouth tonked Fulham; they'd be a sparkling new addition to the Premiership. Familiar faces made it a good night. Back from Bromley South via Herne Hill no prob.
