Sorted out the self assessment; don't have a weight on your mind.
Fed the nearby donkeys carrots, went to my local village yesterday afternoon; the Greyhound's alright.
We went running in the cold; it was not cold enough, just a little wary of black ice. Stratford Haven nice to convene in; hadn't been since the Eng v Ind Test match in the summer at Trent Bridge. Animated evening before getting last train to Mansfield 10pm ish. Finished gym workout before midnight.

We had 10 seconds of snow last night which was enough to turn to phall at a tandoori for 5.30pm dinner- with added green chilli. I was selling J20 to students last weekend and got another one on the house here.
Then went to local butchies and got a wood smoked hen; rich and dark in colour.
Kettlebells at the gym. Saw someone do a different shoulders exercise so doing that. Fires you up; got all chores done afterwards.
Poor old cold Chicago; -31c.

Back in the Mansfield hibernation for the start of the week; coming back to town on train later in the week to work Fri and Sat night, even if it means coming in earlier as coaches do your head.
Was going to go to a Persian restaurant yesterday lunchtime but when a friend said that the food was meh, that was enough for me not to go..go by recommendations.
Mon night is run, pizza and the gym after a weekend away from it. A 4 mile run is nice warm up for the return workout. Run club again tomorrow; this time just over the River Trent. Has to be anchovy pizza next time. Lovely local bus driver on the way back.

Let's be amaysin

Call it hibernation, semi retirement but let's be ready for the next adventure. Some things are best consigned to the mood board marked 2018- and don't apologise for them. Had that dream again where i lost my shoes and I'm walking the streets getting my feet dirty; what does it mean?
Step up the game; elevated ground. From ashes to gold; the future belongs to you now, the darkest days are behind you. Leave no trace of the path you don't want to be part of; turn it inside out.

2019 first blog down

Vauxhall nice and easy to get to; went to Mother Kellys, had Christmas Morning. They call it Vibrant Vauxhall there as opposed to Vibrator Vauxhall. Nothing interesting in Bleeker Burgers, Victoria. Had a session in PureGym in Vic; pumped up workout including kettlebell lifts. The various branches have little touches; wooden lockers here.
Was early for the theatre so found a fireplace spot in the adjacent Phoenix. Rick met me, took our seats and were treated to an afternoon's entertainment at Murder For Two. Lots of songs, high kicking and some contemporary irreverence. We took a bus to the Cask in Pimlico; looking good again. Had a Bruery sour, did the face of a three year old, not for me. Prairie Bomb Cocoa Nibs was much better. Went past Pimlico station; memories of yesteryear, walked over the bridge to Vauxhall.
Met a friend; our 39th year of friendship, saw Man City v Liverpool. Lots of shouting to the tv.
Went back; saw Luther which is so edgy. Remember New Years Day night when it was that followed by the Revenant so that made for interesting sleep. Stayed up till 3.45am last night, the seasonal work ends tomorrow night, quiet one tonight which is what you need.
