Felliniesque lifestyle
Yesterday went to the Paya and Horse, Battersea Park where a mad Serbian runs the rule. He was espousing the virtues of his food ' you know when we get too many piglets, well that's we use' and to one punter he barked' i call you ginger as i don't know your name'. I used to live just up Battersea Park Road but no need to be nostalgic and live in the past. Went to the Mason Arms, then we went to Putney Bridge; the Eight Bells which is propa South London..manky ale. Mixed crowd; different strands. Mixed grill at Spoons. Funny enough on Sun morning stopped at a Spoons for a big brek on way back from a party. I'd gone from a mad last day stint at GB beer fest to a birthday where there was a bbq and copius champagne flowing.. ales to champ..nice change. You know it's going to be a fun party when you see a pole in the room; dobre goost is 'good taste' in Pole-ish. Just after 2am i had a blanket round me creating a Harlesden fest. Retreating to the sofa my fellow sleepee Marek's snoring didn't make for the best rest. Got up 6.15am, had some Guinness and enjoyed the peace.
Ya Sat the beer fest started earlier at 11am; the week long staple of coffee and ale/ cider before (and during) shifts for the last time with a Young Members crawl in between by way of a break. Jeans and shoes for that day as moving on from there. Fri was board shorts; different shorts, and crocs all week. Extravaganja of beer, and work is a rush. Colourful, funny hats were the order of the week.
