Living the Camra lifestyle; Thurs Jun 17th went to the Hope in Carshalton's Summer LocAle fest. It was a game of four halves in the hour i was there with Hasher daffy and spritely Steph who i hadn't met. There was a marquis in the garden. I had Weltons Beckenbaur at 5.1 from Horsham which is 27.6 miles away, Hepworth's 'Moore of 66'..are you sensing the World Cup pattern here?, Downton's 'Golden Goal' not shower, from 86 mile away Wiltshire. Not on at 10% was Brewdog's 'Paradox' (sounds like me) from 592 miles away in Aberdeenshire which frankly was not on.
Went up to Marylebone to meet with my partner in crime who greeted me by blowing the vuvuzela in my ear. The vaunted Gunmakers there was unremarkable but nice cannon outside for an obligatory pose. Laid on the ground near one of those model elephants.
Fri 18th Eng's almost surreal draw with Algeria then the Freestylers in Brixton till 3am ish. Had been out for 14 hours. Used some Camra coupons.
Sat 19th Mick in the Porterhouse; i had a Vietnamese beer. Then Barrington Levy and Freddie Macgregor top notch reggae; back to back Brixton nights.
