Likely to go to Lords on Fri having gone to the Oval on opening day last session last week; liked it starting on a Wed. Thurs was two birthdays. Met Debs in the Swan, Brentwood at lunchtime. We don't always meet up so it was good to catch up on a milestone birthday. I gave the first of her collection of b'day cards. 'Stressed about your age? Stressed is just dessert backwards'. Finally had Bud 66 which is actually very pleasant; light and sweet. David bought Debs 40 space invaders. I don't like the shell but like the sherbet. Then had Estrella on tap. I was there 1 till 4.30 before heading back London way for part 2. Met Mel in Covent Garden, had some wine then went to Langleys for early, pre theatre dinner. Mel had fish n chips served in newspaper. A dance afterwards, then to see dance; Tap Dogs. I've always liked tap dancing; it was choreographed..on benches etc. The guys were at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Pretty good near Somerset House; dance music. Went to the Tattershall Castle for some riverside ambience; bumped into Stevo.

Fri back to Brentwood to see Mandy and Peter; Gardeners then W1 for some serious 80s tunage. Back in South had a lovely meat and chips.

Sat started 2.15 at Zeitgeist; St Pauli in the Bundesliga. I had bockwurst which comes with potato salad. A stunning 3-1 away win. Top of the table big scorers next as we meet Hoffenheim. Met some new ppl Marianna and Champa. Then Dodge just near Vauxhall as an early start was to become a degenerate night. Saw a short film in Juno, Shoreditch with Em and her friends. Ppl sit on those Barclays bikes when they're out. Next stop the Dragon; Zatec, Blue Moon and i caught up with James. 333, Mother Bar, skinny dipping in the Serpentine. Taxied back, got in 5.50am, watched Green Wing on dvd, made Em a tuna sandwich, slept about 7am. Just before midday went out for Sun lunch. 15 min wait for a tram so we went to the graveyard. Spoons in East Croydon was quiet after the Shoreditch noise. Did some Primark shopping, saw jazz at the Green Dragon. We keep it going in a supernova way; the Sun in Carshalton..Owd Rodger 7.6% It was where the pub dog warmed to me. The Hope's friendly; had Wilkins cider at 7.1. The recovery session went on till 10.30 Sun night. 'A bohemian like me'. I do good hermitry also.
