full of..life
Fri was fairly staid after fairly flat out at work. Going towards Borough Market a homeless person was crying and then i started crying. Had a half at the Rake then met Rick at the ever popular Market Porter. It was a mini tour of duty in the London Bridge environs. Next the Globe where we quaffed to the sounds of jazz, they played New Order 1963 at the Southwark Tavern. Last stop the George. Was in bed before 10pm.
Sat morning went for a run 4.45am; felt stronger as you go on. Rugby at 6am. Folks 44th wedding anniversary..blimey, i wanted to get married.
Met Mely and Tracy at 1.30 and we went to a Virgin Wines tasting. Varied demographic of appreciators. Chateauneuf du Pape..in white. The best one by far was Cave de Turckheim Gewurztraminer Sables et Galets 2009 a French white which is oh so fragrant. 250 wines + but it wasn't speed drinking. From Victoria- Euston to catch a train to Lichfield. A fair distance but only takes 80 mins; liked travelling with Northerners. Shelley's 30th birthday will be well remembered. They had bought 88 cans of beer. There was dancing to Pendulum and Limp Bizkit. I cleared the cans carnage in the morning. Gary's into bhut jolokia chillis so i savoured his curry. Must enter a chilli eating contest.
Arrived Birmingham New Street 10.45am and the Shakespeare was serving-result so half of please. Train to London was at 11.30.
