Our mates from the States

Thurs eve saw Algeria v Egypt; i have never seen such a total disintegration like that, wasn't about football but hacking. There was a match in the 1962 World Cup as ugly as this. After Algeria went down to 8 men they should've just sat on the ball for the last minute. They (the hotheads) play England in this year's World Cup; John Terry just needs to make some trash talk about their wives and the game's in the bag. Amazing; he got Jose sacked and he lost Chelsea the Champions League.

Fri i saw the second half of St Pauli going to the top of the table. We held up a big flag both inside and in front of the bar; it was beautiful. The following match was neighbours Hamburg who we could play next year.

Dropped in at a peaceable leafletting demo at the Vauxhall Tavern against inflammatory, self interested Guardian journo Julie Bindel whose transphobic reporting has compromised the safety of marginalised communities. There were a clutch of cops but that was just precaution as they spent the time downing cups of tea.
Onto a birthday in Benihaha; chef cooks in front of you. Warm sake and the unbelivable wasabi ice cream. The others went onto a bar while i went to Brixton; me and Helen were in good time for Phil Orbital Hartnoll..you don't know it'll be 1.30am until you get there. Halcyon was the highlight undoubtedly. Left just after 3am and had fishfingers and pie munch at home.

Sat me and Max were hoping to see the second half of Forest Derby but nowhere showing it. Rob a Posh fan so he came down to Palace. Armed with a flask of tea and white trash ie whisky with Cherry Coke we warmed, well i did, to Dann's quality finishing..'everybody danns now!'. Bovril just before half time. The woman sitting behind was wearing tree pairs of socks to keep out the blinking cold. Clifton Arms after. I found a blow up doll on way back; i bit the nipples to amuse motorists..i'm a wee bit mad.

Later we went to Rivoli Ballrooms for Magic Theatre. Top hats, peacock plumes were the order of the night. After 1am went to a nearby bar; there was a board inside saying 'Brockley is cooler than Shoreditch'. Discuss. We stayed till 3am.

Sun afternoon was lazy in the sofa style. Eveningtime we went to the Nags Head in deepest Belgravia. Our mates from the States are here on a glorified pub crawl with museums in between..ie on solids, a respite from liquids. US has microbreweries; Sam Smiths. I wanted to start on the book of Subway coupons; steak and cheese :-)

o2 are sending me a new battery; maybe the owner needs one too! Can upgrade soon; i want the flashiest, ponciest new model. Hopefully there'll be imminent trips to Reading, Chelmsford and Windsor
