Windies cricket malaise

Ridley Jacobs is talking out of his bottom regards Lara.
If you recall Lara's momentous 400, Jacobs was trying his best to stop Lara getting there. Jacobs wanted centre stage. What's it all about? It's about Windies machismo and egos.
It's Lara who's the team player. Without him Team West Indies would be making 50 or 60 all out; well they still do sometimes. But far from being grateful his 'team'mates appear to be jealous that he often scores more than the others put together. It can be a burden for him if he's doing the majority of the scoring.
Jacobs thinks he's putting a lot back into cricket. I would suggest that Lara adds more credibility to Windies cricket.

Why did the Windies bat on to make a jumbo 747 against South Africa? That lessens the integrity of cricket. They're too proud to declare. Doesn't mean a whole lot on a benign pitch. They just wanted to make themselves feel better after regular batterings of 500plus and losing in 4 days.
